Biewer Forest Management, a part of the Biewer Lumber family of companies, was established in 1983 with our first sawmill in McBain, Michigan. We work with woodland owners to help them achieve their forest management goals. All landowners have goals for their property. Whether it is wildlife management, timber production, or recreation, Biewer has a team of qualified Foresters with over 65 years of combined experience to assist landowners in achieving their best forest.
Some of the services Biewer provides are writing management plans, timber marking, identifying cutting boundaries, and managing the entire process from sale set-up to the harvesting of timber. Biewer’s foresters are very active in many forestry, landowner, and industry groups and associations so we can stay up to date on our changing forestry practices in the Midwest.
As part of Biewer’s commitment to sustainable forestry, we require that log suppliers complete core education programs that include training in water quality, wildlife management, forest silviculture practices, equipment maintenance, soil conservation, and harvesting techniques.
