The main responsibilities of this role will be to provide information, primarily financial in nature, about company activities that will assist management in making educated economic decisions about the company’s current operations, longterm strategies and capital investments. About Biewer – We are a family of businesses that operate 7 lumber manufacturing and building products distribution companies throughout the Midwest that include sawmills, treating plants and distribution operations. Our newest expansion is our Mississippi sawmill under construction with plans to operate in early 2017!

Markets served include the United States and Canada (biewerlumber.com) Accountabilities –  Manage the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.  Establish and maintain a system of internal controls adequate to ensure the protection of corporate assets.  Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.  Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.  Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.  Provide optimal internal and external communications and teamwork.  Areas of Responsibility include: General ledger accounting Accounts Payable Financial Reporting (internal and external) Budgeting (Operating and Capex) Credit and Accounts Receivable Bank Account Reconciliation Payroll Processing and Compliance Federal and State Income taxes
